Ashley was in attendance alongside deputy mayor Sarah Hacker at the launch of the Whitley research project. The project has taken months to compile research from interviews, questionnaires and desk research to paint a picture of Whitley and its future. The research has been compiled by the Church group Fusion and was presented at St Agnes Church on Northumberland Avenue. The report was a huge undertaking and ward Councillors are fully supportive in attempting to deliver the recommendations in the plan. The full document can be found here: Fusion Whitley research project.
The report comes in an exciting week for Whitley with the launch of the Whitley Big Local project on Monday including the opening of the new community café at the South Reading community centre.
