The launch of the Whitley Big Local’s Community Transport Report – Working Better with Whitley: exploring the everyday transport needs and experiences of local communities in South Reading takes place on Friday September 11th.
This report presents the findings of a 12-month participatory action research project funded by the Whitley Big Local and the University of Reading. It focuses on the transport needs of local families in order to highlight the central role that mobility plays in connecting people to the places they need, and equally importantly, they aspire or want to go to, and it makes recommendations for initiatives that could be funded through the Big Local.
The launch event will take place between 1.00 – 3.30pm on Friday 11th September in the Sorby Room at the University of Reading (RG6 6AH) and will be introduced by the Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell. This room can be located on the map in the Wager building (Building 5, Square D4):https://www.reading.ac.uk/web/FILES/UoRMap_WhiteknightsCampus_Colour.pdf.
